Anderson Farm Museum Facility Rentals
The Stable
The reconstruction of the historic stable that once stood on the grounds is the only building on site available for rent to the public. Its multipurpose space is ideal for small to medium sized events.

Rental details:
- Must be 19 years of age or older to book.
- Rental does not include upstairs.
- Food preparation is not permitted on site, except tea and coffee. All Food must be prepared and meet public health standards.
- No alcohol permitted in the building or the grounds as per City By-Law 2003-209.
- No smoking permitted in the building or the grounds as per City By-Law 2013-54.
- No open flames permitted.
- No posters or other materials can be affixed to walls, doors or windows.
- Dishes, cutlery or coffee makers not included in booking.

Insurance requirements:
Liability insurance is required for all City facility rentals. Fees start at $5.00 for meetings and $40.00 for events, depending on the activities taking place during the booking and number of attendees. Please contact Lively Citizen Service Centre with the number of attendees expected and the details of your event for the insurance cost. Groups with their own liability insurance above $2,000,000 may provide proof of this insurance, showing the City of Greater Sudbury as an additional insured on your policy to waive the insurance fee.

The Stable and Grounds
The Anderson Farm Museum sits on a picturesque 14-acre site and has been the backdrop for all types of events over the years. It can accommodate both large- and small-scale events, from carnivals, fairs and concerts to weddings, picnics and family reunions. The Grounds rental includes the use of the central courtyard, fields surrounding the museum’s buildings and the area behind the stable. The Stable building is included at no extra cost in this booking option.

Rental details:
- Applicant must obtain permission from Museum staff to host an event on the grounds.
- Must be 19 years of age or older to book.
- No alcohol permitted in the building or the grounds as per City By-Law 2003-209.
- No smoking permitted in the building or the grounds as per City By-Law 2013-54.
- Barbeques are not permitted without permission.
- No open flames are permitted.
- Any tent erected on site must be made of flame-retardant materials. All tents larger than 600 sq. ft. must obtain a permit from Building Services.
