A Reimagined Anderson Farm Park is Coming

We are excited to share that City Council has official approved Anderson Farm as the future home of a new, signature recreational amenity for our community.  This is major milestone for our community and big step toward creating a vibrant, welcoming space that brings people together, while celebrating the unique cultural heritage of the Anderson Farm site.

A new community gathering place: The vision for a reimagined Anderson Farm Park is bold and inspiring.  Guided by community input and extensive engagement, the plan focuses on creating a four-season, multi-generational destination centered around connection, recreation and culture.

Highlights of the proposed park include:

  • A flat-water feature and interactive water play area that transform into skating opportunities in winter
  • A network of accessible trails and paths connecting the site and telling the story of the land
  • Inviting community gathering spaces for events, relaxation and everyday use
  • A unique public sauna experience inspired by local heritage and wellness traditions
  • A one-of-a-kind destination play area with a fun, farm-inspired theme
  • Spaces designed to support festivals, events and community celebrations.

Rooted in heritage, built for the Future:The Anderson Farm site has long been a place where community comes together, from the Fall Fair to Rock the Farm and so much more.  This next chapter builds on the legacy, blending thoughtful recreation with storytelling and respect for the site’s rich history.

What’s Next?  With Council approval in place, the project will continue into detailed design and planning with funding strategies and phasing to be explored as part of upcoming budget processes.

This is just the beginning!  We’re looking forward to continuing to work with the community as this exciting vision takes shape.

Stay tuned and get ready to experience Anderson Farm in a whole new way!

Greater Sudbury Gardens

This album contains some of the beautiful gardening photos featured in the Inco Triangle from 1937-1983. Many of the gardens in this album were part of the annual Inco gardening contest that awarded gardens all over Greater Sudbury with prizes for their efforts to beautify the area.
We hope these photos can inspire your inner gardener!
